  1. Simple home remedies are just in our pantries or counters. I have used most of them in my own family, especially honey, ginger, and lemon for cough and colds. They are really effective with minimal cost. I do use most of them mentioned in your list as well, in my kitchen.

    May I add for simple burns, toothpaste rubbed on the burned part of your body will stop the process. Or even putting that burned part of your body under running water. Very effective.

    For fish bones stuck in your child’s throat, use ripe banana to catch or remove it, by letting your child swallow a big chunk of the fruit and let it slide through his throat slowly to enable the fish bone to go with the banana to his tummy then it will just be excreted with his poop.

    Of course, as mentioned, prevention is the best cure. Coupled with a healthy lifestyle, enough rest and exercise, and eating nutritious food. I have a question, I have heard some people say that garlic is good for people with hypertension. Do you recommend this? If so, how much?

      This information was passed down from generation to generation before the Industrial Revolution. Since that time, people have relied on technology because it has made our life much easier than it was one hundred years ago. So knowing how to live off the land and ancient natural remedies were lost to us generations ago.

      Should we lose our power grid for example. Many Americans would perish because we have lost the ability to be self sufficient and lack basic survival skills. Especially those that live in urban areas and big cities. They just wouldn’t stand a chance and would be a disaster beyond our comprehension.
